In 2007, NEEF hosted its 3rd Annual Canon EE Week Photo Contest, calling on EE Week participants from across the country to share their photos from their EE Week events. Representatives from the Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History coordinated the judging and winners from Elementary, Middle, and High School levels were chosen from two categories of photos:

  • Hands on the Outdoors, for photos of students engaged in outdoor environmental learning over the course of EE Week, and
  • Wildlife Explorations, for photos of wildlife observed during EE Week.

Each winning student photographer received a copy of a Peterson Field Guide to Natural History, and Canon U.S.A., Inc. generously donated digital cameras to the sponsoring schools and nature centers. Below are the winning photos. Congratulations to our winners!
