Energy

We use a vast amount of energy -- in the form of electricity, fuel for our vehicles and gas to heat our homes and cook our meals -- every day. EE Week provides the following resources and tools for teaching about energy, including common energy sources, alternative energies, energy conservation and the interdependence between water and energy.

  • Energy Curricula EE Week provides access to standards-based lesson plans on sources of energy and energy conservation organized by grade level and easily implemented in the classroom.
  • Energy Resources EE Week's list of energy resources provides links to online tools, information and organizations with objective, scientific information about sources of energy, energy conservation and other energy-related topics.
  • Water-Energy Connection Conserving water saves energy, and vice versa. The water-energy connection is complex, but it provides an excellent opportunity to get students thinking about the interrelatedness of ecological and environmental concerns. EE Week provides articles, links, videos and graphics on this important topic.
