Winners of the 2011 EE Week Photo Blog Contest
The National Environmental Education Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of its 2011 National EE Week Photo Blog Contest
- First place: River Critters, submitted by Terry Deal from Evergreen Community Charter School in Asheville, N.C.
- Second place: Creek Stomp Bio Blitz, submitted by Laura Getz from Oaklandon School of Environmental Studies in Indianapolis, Ind.
- Third place: Building a Monarch Way Station, submitted by Karen Bolte from Brier Creek Elementary School in Raleigh, N.C.
The top three entrant organizations were awarded the following:
- First place: $275 worth of educational media from the Video Project, a Canon PowerShot A490 digital camera at a retail value of $99.99 and a Get Outdoors! Birding Field Pack from Acorn Naturalists at a value of $99.95.
- Second place: $175 worth of educational media from the Video Project, a Canon PowerShot A490 digital camera at a retail value of $99.99 and a Get Outdoors! Introduction to Insects Field Pack from Acorn Naturalists at a value of $94.95
- Third place: $100 worth of educational media from the Video Project, a Canon PowerShot A490 digital camera at a retail value of $99.99 and a Get Outdoors! Tracking Field Pack from Acorn Naturalists at a value of $89.95
